Ending Loneliness

Our repair sessions now include a space dedicated to Ending Loneliness, a community interest group that helps bring people together for a chat and a cuppa!

The group is open to everybody, you do not need to be using the repair cafe services, but please feel free to use both. Guests visiting Ending Loneliness are also welcome to use our cafe services for a drink and piece of cake.

Steve and Sarah Franklin set up Ending Loneliness to assist primarily older people who do not have the opportunity to talk or socialise with others, whether inside or outside of their home. For some people, loneliness can be combated by an occasional cup of tea and a chat, whereas for others they relish the opportunity to go to social groups or learn new skills, and that’s where Ending Loneliness can help.
